Freight Costs

We send our fish either by road, or air freight. This is determined by the necessity to get them to you within 24 hours maximum time from packing.

Road freight, through Toll. This works well for customers between Sydney and Gladstone. Townsville and Cairns are 2 day road trips by road, so have to be air freighted. We do however routinely send ceramics to further destinations – also via Toll. Costs are approx. $60/box for fish to Sydney using their “Priority” freight system. We can quote you on all other destinations for freighting of ceramics.

Road freight charges apply for all fish and ceramics orders.

Air Freight Fish – via Toll or Virgin – 1 box – Sydney $90/box, Melbourne $100/box, Hobart $100/box, Launceston $120.00/box, Adelaide $100/box, Orange $100/box (Toll), Canberra $100/box, Perth $200/box, Cairns $100/box, Townsville $90/box. More than 1 box discounts apply.  (See Freight Subsidy) below.

All are to be picked up at the Toll or Virgin premises of your airport. Poly boxes are charged at $11/box. GST applies to all charges. If we are able to get good second hand boxes, we will not charge for these.

Freight Subsidy.

We value your business, and so have instituted a freight subsidy to cover your fish. We give a 10% discount off your freight charges on 2 boxes, 20% off 3 boxes or  more.

Further Information

MINIMUM ORDER IS $150.00. All new customers settle account before fish leave us. We will send you a pro forma with banking details, either during Tuesday, or Wednesday morning, which needs to be paid before the fish are released.

For airfreight we use new boxes , and these are charged at $11.00 ea.

Please try to have your orders in as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Unlike other wholesalers, Fish Finatix sells farmed fish, and these need to be harvested from ponds, once orders are collated.

Not one fish or ceramic on my list is imported. This is probably the biggest difference between Fish Finatix  and almost all other wholesalers. Everything is home grown Aussie production, which has always been a Fish Finatix core policy. Consequently, late orders mean that the fish have to be harvested twice which is detrimental to our fish.
